In 2011, the privatization of Kıbrıs Türk Petrolleri (K-Pet) marked a significant moment. Two leading Northern Cypriot groups acquired 90% of the company's shares, ensuring this strategic investment remained within the country. Beyond the acquisition, over 17 million dollars were invested to modernize and expand K-Pet's facilities, resulting in a state-of-the-art infrastructure and increased capacity. The Levent Group, known for prioritizing national development, brought its unwavering support to K-Pet. Their approach, as with other investments, emphasized utilizing Northern Cyprus's resources to drive economic growth. | K-Pet's Kalecik Facilities, sprawled across 200 acres, serve as a hub for fuel distribution. Equipped with cutting-edge automation systems, the facility boasts tanks for various fuel types (gasoline, diesel, jet fuel) and LPG storage. K-Pet's presence extends to Ercan Airport's Hava İkmal Birimi (Aviation Fuel Supply Unit). This unit plays a crucial role by providing Jet A-1 fuel to Turkish Airlines and other private aircraft, ensuring smooth aviation operations. |
